Filming in Portico

We're absolutely thrilled to share that Portico of Ards recently featured in the latest series of ITV's popular show "Keepers of the Lough"!

The "Keepers of the Lough" crew were particularly intrigued to discover how our historic building on the tip of the Ards Peninsula has transformed into one of Northern Ireland's most beloved comedy venues. Their visit captured the unique charm and intimate atmosphere that makes Portico such a special place for performers and audiences alike.

Did Neil Delamere put in a good word for us?

During filming, renowned comedian Neil Delamere shared his thoughts on performing at Portico, describing it as a "wonderful wee venue." He highlighted one of our most distinctive features – the intimate setting where "the furthest member of the audience is never that far away." This closeness creates a special connection between performers and audience that you simply can't find in larger venues.
